Codes that are too long
A Google Sheets formula exercise from Sheetsdrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Count the product codes in column A that have more characters than the limit in E1. Use ARRAYFORMULA with LEN. Answer in E2.
What this exercise teaches
Most single-cell functions, such as LEN, work row by row inside ARRAYFORMULA. That is how one formula replaces a helper column.
A hint if you get stuck
Inside ARRAYFORMULA, LEN(A2:A9) gives one length per row. IF can turn each TRUE into 1, and SUM adds them.
