Free shipping rule
A Google Sheets formula exercise from Sheetsdrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Shipping is "Free" when the order total is at least the minimum in G1 or the customer is a member ("Yes"), but never when the destination is "Intl". Everything else is "Paid". Fill E2 and E3 with formulas that could be filled down.
What this exercise teaches
AND and OR take any number of conditions, and they nest. Writing the rule as AND(OR(...), ...) mirrors the sentence, which is easier to check than a chain of nested IFs.
A hint if you get stuck
Build the test from the inside out: OR(total test, member test) is one condition, the destination test is another, and AND joins them. The IF goes around all of it.
