Either region with FILTER
A Google Sheets formula exercise from Sheetsdrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Add up the revenue for the rows that are in the region in F1 or the region in F2. In FILTER, two tests joined with + inside one condition act as OR. Answer in F3.
What this exercise teaches
Separate FILTER arguments are ANDed. For OR, add the tests inside one argument: TRUE counts as 1, so the sum is positive when any test passes. Multiplying them gives AND, which is handy when you need both in one expression.
A hint if you get stuck
(A2:A11=F1)+(A2:A11=F2) gives 1 for a row that matches either test and 0 otherwise. FILTER keeps every row where the condition is not 0.
