Average since a date with QUERY
A Google Sheets formula exercise from Sheetsdrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Use QUERY to return the average order amount for orders dated on or after March 1, 2025, with no header row. In a query, a date is written as date '2025-03-01'. Answer in F1.
What this exercise teaches
QUERY compares dates only when the literal is marked with the date keyword; a plain quoted string would be compared as text and match nothing. avg, like sum, needs its label blanked to return a single number.
A hint if you get stuck
select avg(C) where B >= date '2025-03-01'. The word date goes before the quoted value, and the value is year-month-day. Blank the label to drop the header.
